I walked through a desert

I walked through a desert that was drier and more dangerous that I could see. Insidious beyond what I could perceive. But not as lifeless as I first thought. Maybe, the truth is that I was called to find life in the desert, not elsewhere. And there is. Quiet, subtle, resilient life everywhere you look. May be pale, may be small, may be crooked, but it’s there finding its way through it. And there’s beauty, and there’s meaning, in that very struggle.
